• How to post an ad?

We have made this hassle-free. Click on “Submit A Classified“, fill in the blanks, and upload your pictures.

  • How long are ads active?

Ads in most categories stay on Coin Stamp Classifieds for 60 days.

  • How to post an effective ad?

While it is easy to post an ad online quickly, keep these key factors in mind in creating an effective ad:

    • Create a title that will get noticed by others.
    • The more detail you provide, the better the response you will receive in selling.
    • Ads with quality photos are typically viewed more often than those without, and photos are the key to help substantiate the grading and any other rare qualities about your item.

Make sure your asking price is in line with the current market valuations.

  • What is the cost for listing and selling materials?

Listings are free and there is no limit to the amount of listings you create. On items you sell, we collect a competitive commission as outlined in the seller’s agreement.

Click here to view the buyer’s agreement.

    Current fee schedule:

    < $99.99 – 10%
    $100.00 to $999.99 – 8%
    $1000.00 and above – 7%

When calculating the sales fee, the Sale Amount is considered to be the total selling price of all items sold in a single transaction, not including shipping. A minimum fee of 50 cents is imposed if the total calculated fee is less than 50 cents, but in no case will the fee be more than the total selling price.

  • How do I receive payment for materials sold?

Once we have verified the sale, payment, less our commission, is sent directly to the seller via PayPal. Payments will be processed as quickly as possible during business hours. Weekend sales will be processed within 2 business days.

  • Who owns this website?

This classified website is owned by Trajan Media, publishers of Canadian Coin News and Canadian Stamp News. The listings are only available on this website – not the magazines.

  • Are there any order cancellation fees?

Yes, if you deliberately cancel an order that you have received, or if CoinStampClassifieds.com must cancel an order because you fail to acknowledge it within five days, a cancellation fee will be charged.

The amount of the cancellation fee will be the same as would have been charged if the sale were completed successfully.

There are two reasons for having a cancellation fee. Most importantly, it compensates CoinStampClassifieds.com for the PayPal fee we incur when we collect the buyer’s payment. It also acts as a deterrent to discourage sellers from needlessly cancelling orders or neglecting to acknowledge orders in a timely manner.

  • What are the cross-border fees?

If the buyer is in a country other than Canada, we impose an additional cross-border currency fee of 2 per cent. This fee is necessary to offset an additional fee charged by the PayPal payment service for receiving payment from a foreign country.
